sandhya tenneti: Well, you are right.. we become what we choose.
maddss123: i miss not just one, but all the girls i been with :)
I cant agree less.. you may also call it justification.. its just that i noticed this pattern... its not applicable to all the women i have known.. but its also true that i have seen this happen to many... and its also applicable to men...
thank you all for commenting :)
hmm... btw... thanks for ur encouraging comment... Bg
Well Pk.Sundar, Thank you for spending such time on writing a comment. I apologize if some of my words were obscene.
But in no way i find it colorful as you see it. The objective of this
post was to say that "blindly" putting a Ban on a channel without a
second thought is not the way to handle things.
"Let’s say that a man has three sons
and that two of them have gone astray. If we were to follow The Blue Genius’
argument then we should let the other too go bad!"
Now, what kind of logic is this? You are talking like "Bread is the
mother of steam engine". On control, the Govt. can do what it want. On
what it likes. Why object the Ban? Simply because they must not decide
what we want to watch. You are right. It is up to individuals to take
care of xyz values. And they cannot decide for all individuals. That is
why we must object the Ban.
And coming to your psychoanalysis. I would rather reserve my comments. It is a "cliche' to mention Freud. We all have grown up reading him. And about "The Blue Genius wants a free society
or he wants to control proliferation of media like pornography and nudity on TV
and Internet.", it's the former. Wonder how did you come to a conclusion of the later part? You need some psychoanalysis done on yourself :p

Religion apart fareena, I have been lucky enough till date to not witness that much bloodshed and fight in person. But talking about muslims, i do not feel that way exactly. perhaps because my best friends are muslims... my closest friends are muslims... I fell in love with a girl who is a muslim... when i look at these people, they seem to me just like anybody else. They have their own worries of "settling" in life, raising kids and living a life of dignity.
I know what you talk of is much beyond this, talks about history and everyday events and all that... but given a choice of second chance, i am sure most muslims would not leave... we wouldnt want them to leave... it is not just a homeland of hindus, it is theirs too.. our homeland..
Anyways... on lighter note... have you ever traveled by flight fareena? When you are up there... at that height of 30,000 feet and look down.. what do you feel? Up there, every land seems to be one... connected.. and borders don't make sense.. and the complex mental traumas we go through everyday down there seem trival...
a second chance to Homeland or not, i hope we grow out of this soon and live contributing to higher causes..
well maddss123, the reason for the ban is they felt the show 'midnight hot' is showing too much skin. And Fareena, i agree with you. AIDS is something that India should really worry about. These bans don't really help. Even, in ronny's case, the movie 300, with 6 year olds watching, it is parents who must be responsible.
hmm... I do doubt how many young children in india get to watch the TV at midnight in liberty. If they can get that much freedom, then they probably will have more ways to get what they want! But in case of adults, we dont need other people telling us what we must watch and what we must not.
The Vijayawada Chronicles
I would say you must not worry on what direction your blog will take. I feel a blog should reflect ones own set of thoughts that gives it an original feel and taste. Presenting or trying to please an audience with good posts is certainly good.. but its allright.. example, the vijayawada chronicles would have more impact with just the actual incident starting with Amma... the other thoughts expressed make it seem that you shared this just to make it more interesting..
i may be wrong, but looking at your previous posts, the content is original and really good.. so stick to what your style and mood is at a given time... for the blog reflects you over these years...
